This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle, This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars, This other Eden, demi-paradise, This fortress built by Nature for herself Against infection and the hand of war, This happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, Which serves it in the office of a wall Or as a moat defensive to a house, Against the envy of less happier lands,-- This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England. ~~William Shakespeare, Richard III

Why worry?

I want to paint my bathroom, bedroom, and living room. Nothing too hard, right? Just pick out a color you like, buy the paint (along with some brushes, tape, roller, and a few other things), and then get in there and get to painting. Easy, right?

No.

Yes, I knew there was a plethora of paint colors. Yes, I knew there were different brands to choose from. But good grief...there are so many TYPES of paint to choose from. I felt my eyes crossing when I was looking at them yesterday. Then as I got to worrying about getting the wrong TYPE of paint...I started second guessing my color choice.

Hmm...is that going to be too dark in my smallish bathroom? Will that really match the countertops? Will the tiles I want around the tub look okay with that paint?? (stress out point here)

That's when I thought about my own motto when it comes to my hair, "Nothing is permanent. If I don't like my cut/color, it will grow out and I can change it." I quickly applied that to my upcoming painting and realized, "Hey, its just paint. I can always paint over it AGAIN (ugh) if I don't like it!"

Now...do I want Arabian Sands or Warm Nutmeg????

  1. Go to the Loganville Lowe's and ask for Jennifer Garner. Tell her you're my friend.
