This Day in History...

Nothing too exciting today...just a real estate transaction.

October 27, 1662 - King Charles II sold the coastal town of Dunkirk to King Louis XIV of France.

  1. I always found it interesting that there were these small English strongholds like Dunkirk and Calais, long after the rest of the French lands had been lost.
