This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle, This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars, This other Eden, demi-paradise, This fortress built by Nature for herself Against infection and the hand of war, This happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, Which serves it in the office of a wall Or as a moat defensive to a house, Against the envy of less happier lands,-- This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England. ~~William Shakespeare, Richard III

  1. Love the above photo of Lady Gwen's Kingdom! It reminds me of a great historical fiction that I just finished reading titled, "Power of a Woman" by Robert Fripp- a great book that centers around the turbulent life of Eleanor of Aquitaine. For anyone who is not familiar with Eleanor of Aquitaine, she was a medieval queen who had two stormy marriages with two warring kings- France's Louis VII and England's Henry II. She was such a powerful women!
