August 31, 1997 - Diana, Princess of Wales, her companion Dodi Fayed, and their driver were killed in a car crash in the Place de l'Alma underpass in Paris. It is believed they were trying to avoid the paparazzi.

I remember when Diana died...we were in the process of taking son to college..watched it on tv in motel room. Can not believe it has been that long ago...
ReplyDeleteWe were at my aunt's in Jacksonville for the Labor Day holiday. I remember waking up that morning and it was on the news...took me a little bit to realize what had happened (I ended up doing a speech on her that fall in a college course).
