This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle, This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars, This other Eden, demi-paradise, This fortress built by Nature for herself Against infection and the hand of war, This happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, Which serves it in the office of a wall Or as a moat defensive to a house, Against the envy of less happier lands,-- This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England. ~~William Shakespeare, Richard III

Wishful Wednesdays

Wishful Wednesdays is hosted by Should be Reading.

What books have you been wishing for lately?

1. Legacy, Susan Kay - A great book about Elizabeth I

2. Daughter of Time, Josephine Tey (which came in the mail two days ago!) - A detective sets about redeeming Richard III after seeing his painting.

3. Court of the Midnight King, Freda Warrington - Another good book on Richard III.

4. The Seventh Son, Reay Tannahill - Again, a book on Richard III, though not a romanticized version.

5. Harold the King, Helen Hollick - A story about Britian's Kings right before the Norman invasion.

6. Anything by Elizabeth Chadwick - She comes highly recommended by folks over at Goodreads (and other historical fictions sites) and I am anxious to get a hold of her works.
